WEDDING RINGS INTO CONTEXT. DOCUMENTARY WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY.
The wedding rings are a symbol of marriage and the circle represents a form without beginning and end; which is a representation of eternity and love.
It is common that the bride and groom look at their hands with happy faces once the wedding ceremony is over or show the rings to guests, proud of the life step taken. When I am photographing weddings, this is a moment that I try to capture during the reception.
The image below was taken at the wedding of Jennifer and Nick, where I was their documentary wedding photographer at Rushpool Hall in Saltburn-by-the-Sea, North Yorkshire. I took the photograph from the first floor, taking advantage of the strong directional light.
The resulting photograph, with its use of dramatic lighting displays and puts the wedding rings into context.
