ALVARO – BLACK AND WHITE FILM PORTRAIT PHOTOGRAPHY

PORTRAIT PHOTOGRAPHS SHOT ON FILM

I would like to show you some photos that were taken on black and white film.  They are film portrait photographs, portraits of Álvaro, son of my good friends Maribel and Edu.

For me they reflect the charm of a more traditional way of taking photographs, one which draws on my experience of using light meters, choosing shutter speeds and lenses etc . This approach gives me more creative satisfaction and in a sense  connects me more to what is the true art of photography.

Now and then  I just like to wander the streets and try and capture something using art of a documentary photographer, applying those skills learned from  this traditional analogue approach … I hope you enjoy them too.
